Dynamic cornering lights upgrade retrofit on a 997.2 possible?

Hello. I'm looking to upgrade the stock headlights on a 997.2 to the dynamic cornering lights. Can anyone please tell me what is involved or help with the process? The dealership is offering to give me lights and modules but even they don't know how to do it.

Thanks!

Well, knowing Porsche, there is some start up testing that takes place where the car's computer talks to the modules, valdates they work and then may indicate an error or not.

So while he lamp assemblies in the fenders may be modular.. you may be able to slide out the base ones and put adaptive light modules in, assuming its the same plug connectors, there will likely be some activation that has to happen in the computer to tell it there are the lamps in the car, and that talks to them so they work properly.

For one, the steering wheel angle data needs to be sent to the lamps to turn them appropriately.

At a minimum, its the assemblies, and activation.
But there could be a controller involved, or the common silliness of the car's computer board not having the controller to drive the lights and that bit not being modular at all, so a whole new computer might be needed, at the other extreme.

There is a control unit, part # 997 618 321 02, at the location below behind the air compressor and tire goop panel. At least this is where they put it on my 09 C2

Well, there you go.. that means you also need the wiring harness for that to and from the lights and rest of car... now its starting to look way more expensive and complex to add on. Doable, but not a drop in easy-peasy task.

I have a 05 C2S. While I was doing front and rear facelift, i purchased 2 997.2 headlights with dynamic corn. lights . My porsche technician told me that the beam adjuster motors will not work on 997.1 cars no matter what they did. When we put on these lights we got an error saying beam adjustment faulty or something like that. So he tried removing the old adjuster motors from the old headlights and put them into the 997.2 dyn. corn. lights. He worked on the, for an hour to get them wired correctly and I have been using them on my car since then. He said he could maybe also make the actual dynamic corner function work but he had to work on it for couple days. He did not have time so we did not do it. But it is doable for appearance purpose.
