Aftermarket Replica Wheels
What is everyone's thoughts on buying replica wheels for our 997's? I am looking at buying a set of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-PORSCHE-911-WHEELS-RIMS-TURBO-996-997-GT3-GT2-/270903031499?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &vxp=mtr&hash=item3f131436cb
OEM rims like these are significantly more. Are there any negatives in going with these or am I going to suffer ride quality or any other negative effects?

The seller doesn't tell you who the manufacturer is or what the wheels are made of. I'm all for saving a few bucks on cosmetic items but to be honest I think you'd have to be nuts to ride on these wheels based on the info in the listing. At $220 a wheel, I'm assuming their made in China from who know what material. There are a number of past threads showing cheap wheels cracked in two, etc.
If I were you I'd look for a set of new OEM's on eBay -- I bought my Turbo I's from a reputable seller new for $1900. Or you can go with a quality aftermarket maker (like Champion) but that's for looks and potentially weight, not $$ savings.
