C4S vs M5 - Moron driver-Rant
Disclaimer: This is just a rant and in no way shape or form of any useful information to 911 owners.
Went to the gas station last night in the C4S on my way to the grocery. Pulled up to a tank and began to fill. As i was pulling in, an 03 M5 was pulling in the a parking spot. He stopped abruptly, reversed and whipped his M5 right next to mine in a neanderthal fashion while goosing the throttle. Then he got out, looking like complete white trash btw, said "This car is SMALL, but its nice I guess. Is it a twin turbo?" I told him no, its a 4S but its still plenty fast, he asked about horsepower then point to his car and said 400hp. He said he could take me in a race and he might give it to me if I was driving a turbo. I as seriously blown away by how much of a dick this guy was. We argued, I told him my business parter has a brand new M5 and that I could beat him but he refused to listen. All he kept doing was pointing at his car and saying "M5 bro!"
We left the station he followed, taking pictures with his phone, I smoked him off a traffic light, we got onto the highway slowed down and raced from about 30, he did the honking and jumped the gun on me and took a lead, hit traffic around 100mph and had to slow down. He gave me a thumbs down and immediately turned off.
I enjoy a good race as much as the next guy and this probably shouldn't even bother me but this guy was a seriously overinflated dick head. I've raced plenty of BMW drivers and they've all been pretty sporting and friendly, never disrespectful or argumentative. Wouldnt mind hearing if anyone else has had similar experiences or if this was just a one off toolbag.
Anyway thats my rant thanks for reading.

Same here. At any rate, you do not want to get involved with any of this stuff, as these "*********" can go to any length to beat you, even if it means causing an accident or worse.
They have a more powerful car (M5 in that example) with a 400 HP V8, but the car is almost twice as heavy. Plus their enormous ego may blind them and make them go way beyond their limits.
The M5 BRO from the story was obviously equipped with a brain the size of the tip of his dick.

yes, as Katera said, never street race: it is not worth it and can cost you a lot if you run into an accident or are caught by the Cops.
And for the occasional Japanese/Korean car that wants to race with you or pass you at any cost, I am happy to oblige: it is good for their ego and does not hurt you in any ways....
Everybody ends up being happy.

Let's be honest here - you were an idiot for taking that race. Why bother after you figured out the guy was a dick? I would have let him leave the gas station and blown him a kiss as he left...
Seriously, check out the video above. Is it really worth it??? It AMAZES me that there are people that will run that way as adults. I figured the crap out in my twenties - no way I'm risking my life/car/freedom to show some MORON that my car is indeed quicker than his.

He drives an E39 M5 and knows nothing about his own car except for a HP number....
Dont sweat the small stuff let him do that

I generally dont get baited by people driving their cars around me fast and trying to start something, I think perhaps since he was actually talking to me in person and attacking me I might have blew the reasoning part of my brain. But Yes i agree, dont street race these fools. Thanks for chiming in guys.
Like 5 minutes after I pulled off the lot from purchasing my very first Porsche 911, a souped-up camaro or shelby or something (sorry, I can't even tell the american muscle stuff apart anymore) roared up next to me and I mean, I didn't even know how to lock the doors on the car yet, lol, but we had a nice engine rev together and that was that. I think he was just appreciating the car even, maybe...but am waiting for something like that to happen again and now that I know the car a little better after driving home from arizona...well. I just want to keep my license, and I know a bit more of what this amazing machine is capable of. I just want to keep my license. I just want to keep my license. must. remember.
