Anyone fitted the wipers yet

Hi,

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but was wondering if anyone had now fitted 991 wiper arms and wipers to a 997?

I have michelin stealth wipers on mine which are great but the are quite visible from the cockpit and are bulky and not as OEM looking as I'd like. Would much rather upgrade to done genuine 991 items.

Interesting thread. Did anybody ever successfully fit the 991 auto headlight switch to a 997?

After someone said buying a 991 instead of trying to make the 997 a 991 is a better more practical way of doong things....everyone here jist bought a 991 and forgot about the whole tread.

Yeah... I just want the headlight switch, not the whole 991.

Having owned my 997 for a year now, I love it as much if not more today than 365 days ago. But, I have 2 gripes: 1-need auto lights. I have left the lights on more times than I can count. Fortunately only for an hour or two when going into a restaurant or store. 2-why is there a delay from a dead stop? Can this be resolved, or is it just something I have to live with. Oh yeah, owe more - the user interface to the GPS sucks and I paid extra to update the maps hoping for improvement and it still sucks!

I'd highly suggest a mount of some sort for your smartphone/tablet and use Waze. It is better than any onboard OEM GPS system and has the added benefit of helping out the rest of us.

I've got the Mobridge M2 Pro installed in my 997. It has streaming bluetooth audio, bluetooth phone, etc. I also use Waze, and the Waze audio is played through the Porsche head unit via bluetooth. It gave me a very timely warning about a police car this morning!

Dennis, how is the quality of the sound on that Bluetooth music connection? I've tried two or three different aftermarket blue tooth units and they were well below acceptable, and I'm NOT an audiophile....

I've got a Dension with the latest firmware, and (now that it works post update) I find the audio quality perfectly acceptable. I was just driving on the motorway, windows down and sunroof open and contemplated the fact the vocals on the track I was listening to (Help the Poor, BB King) were crystal clear at 65mph. I can't imagine the need for it to sound much better, given the environment.

Good afternoon gentlemen,

There is an automatic headlight solution for 911 997, Boxster and Cayman 987 and CAYENNE 955 and 957.

I run it on my 997 TT; installed in minutes and almost invisible.
No need to change the original switch

its called PALS, check autolightsystems com website.

Cheers
