My Dream Come True - Part 1
My Dream Come True - Part 1
Hey Folks,
Much like other stories I've read in my short time on this forum, my dream has come true. I've always enjoyed the look of Porsches, specifically the 911. I had admired them while a kid and through my high school and university years. I knew that someday I would have one and until that day came I stayed away. I had never sat in let alone driven one before last month. I wanted to savour the moment for when I was ready to see it through. Wow what an experience.
My first drive was an 09 C2S PDK, then 09 Turbo, followed by 08 C4S. None of those did it for me, the Turbo was nice, but wanted the classic look of a NA 911. I also joined these forums back in Jan and had learned a lot about what I want. A 997.2 C4S 6-spd. I had seen the one I now own when I went to test drive the above, but thought it wouldn't be. However, here I am with the car that wouldn't be. I picked it up yesterday and have put about 300km on the car in less than 24 hrs of the keys in hand. What a car! I must say, we drive amazing vehicles and am proud to own one, I can't wait till the summer to take part in DE's, local events, and just drives with me, the car and perhaps some tunes.
So here's what I got....
2011 C4S Basalt Black Metallic on Natural Red Leather. 13,500 km. CPO. PPI & DME Complete (Range 1 - 217, Range 2 - 16...that's it)

I know we all love the pictures, so here's the max of five, take a look at my reply post Part 2 & 3 for the remainder. The sun was a bit harsh, I hope to get out when the weather improves for some better shots. I knew I would need some to accompany this post, so here's what I have so far.
Some mods I think I'd like to do this year are:
Exhaust - some variation of PSE & aftermarket or mixture, don't know yet.
Sport Shifter
Protective Film - sooner than later, like next week I think.
Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum and answered my questions over the past month or so. I hope I can contribute with my experiences as I gain them.

Congrats!! And you went with the black/red combo that you loved!!! I had the same experience in buying mine (i.e. I tested my dream 911 not thinking I'd ever bring that specific car home, but guess what's in the garage right this second!!!)
P.S. weather's supposed to be awesome tomorrow, +7C and sun! Enjoy!!!!
