Unhappy Alarm malfunction

My 2005 997-S alarm system has a mind of its own. I set the alarm with the key and most of the time there's no problem. But occasionally, and without any consistency, the alarm will go off, minutes or hours later (2 nights ago in my garage at 3 AM). It has happened randomly about 5 times in the last six months. Any suggestions?

Try double pushing the key fob lock button to turn of the interior motion alarm. You will hear the horn chirp once when doing this. You might have a fault with the motion sensor.

Turn your alarm on while sitting in your car wait for the security light pattern on the center console to change and then wave your arms frantically. See what happens.

Better results if done in a public place.

Yes the two alien eyes by the overhead maps lights are the sensors.
