OEM Aero Kit or Wicked GT3 kit for 997.2?
Chris did your car??
PorscheJoe,
I'm exactly on the same page with you. I heard good things about Precision Porsche and same as several 6speed members i'm thinking of buying the GT3 .2 wing for my car, front and rear bumper as well. Let me know if you decide for Precision Porsche. Thanks!

Check out C&C Collision if you are in LA. They are in Pasadena and work on a lot of high end cars. They do amazing work. They are big in the BMW community I am part of. I have used them 2 times and drove from Orange County there because of their quality and pricing.
Sweet! I thought that car looks familiar. I am currently considering Chris of Sterling or someone local to my area (Santa Clarita) for painting. Tony of Precision had good things to say about Chris. Your car looks awesome but how was your overall experience with Chris?
As I'm sure you've discovered the wing is a complete swap out for the stock decklid. So returning to stock config is really easy. Search my threads and I have specifics on wire harness change etc...
Re other manufacturers, I have read several threads about poor fitment and significant prep issues encountered with NR Auto. I steered clear of them.
Ah I recognize that pic! I did get my wing from Tony at Precision Porsche in Torrance. I live in Oregon so body work had to be done locally and not in Cali. I got hooked up with a great body shop that does restorations. The owner told me that the wing quality was excellent and fitment was excellent. Local body shop (near you) is essential to achieve good paint match. I was in similar situation as you - thought about the OEM Aerokit - but at nearly 6k for just parts, not even starting to talk about body shop prep/paint costs!!

Is that your car? That was one of the pic in Precision porsche's website. Looks like you picked the right body shop to do the install. It looks clean. I have browsed some of your related threads. Did you still have to take the car to the dealer to clear the spoiler error message or swapping the harness solved the brake light plus the spoiler error message? From what I have read, if need be, the error code can be done in minutes. I wrote down the instructions.
Scoper,

Tony from Precision was very nice & he quoted me the following:
GT3 Front Bumper---$2100
GT3 Rear Bumper----$1,750
GT3 Wing(3.8) ----$1,850
Total: $5,700.00 Painted & installed with very little down time.
vs.
OEM Aero Kit Cup(front bumper & rear wing)---Approx $4,900 incl. shipping from Suncoast(best price out there & Ryan is extremely helpful & knowledgeable). Porsche Body Shop Precision referred by Auto Gallery quoted $1800-$2000 to paint & install, but I got a great deal from Pacific Porsche's Body Shop for $1,200 painted & installed.
I'll let you know which way I go & post pics once I get it done.
Joe, 5700 was the painted price?? If so, wow, that's dirt cheap! My cost for the unfinished/primed wing was near $1800 if I remember correctly, and my body shop charged $2000 for prep/paint/install (including moving decklid fan, wire harness, snorkels). I also had them paint my ground effects (side skirts, also black pieces behind front and rear wheels) for $700. I really liked their attention to detail. It really is essential to go to a body shop that can do this work well. The first body shop I went to, very good reputation, was honest enough to tell me that they didn't do custom work like this and referred me on.

I will double check with Tony again & make sure that includes PCM coding since I mentioned that to him when I got the quote last week. I know that the Pacific Porsche Body Shop's price includes everything, including doing the code so I don't get error messages. I'll post more info after I speak to Tony w/ Precision. I also agree with about finding the right Body Shop. I did a ton of research & called many different places as well.
Yup, that's my car. Yes, I had to take my car in to get the PCM programmed to fixed rear spoiler. My dealer was nice enough to me to do it gratis - I had my car in for oil change and gave them the instructions - took 5 mins. (Initially they estimated 30mins labor --- Geez, it's only a code change!!!)
Thanks for the useful info.
Oem or wicked
I really want to do a body kit on my 997.2 Carrera S. I'm trying to decide whether to go with the factory Aero Kit Cup from Suncoast or do the Wicked 997 GT3 Body kit. Has anyone had their Porsche done by Wicked Porsche in North Hollywood(LA Area)? I would definitely keep/put back the "Carrera S" emblem on my car, if I decide to go with Wicked GT3 kit. I also called NR Auto, but the body shop they referred me to did not inspire much confidence. I appreciate any advice on this matter.
Good luck
