is the shift pattern reversed in rhd cars? or do you have to reach alllll the way over and up there for 1st...

reach.. it was surprisingly automatic and not an issue when I drove a TVR in england a few years back.

 

very uncompromising on their part, i must say, a la martin short, but it just comes natural like, eh? was just looking around pistonheads, u.k. site...

 

I think it's because no matter where you are sitting your brain thinks first gear should be on the left.

 

just drove across ireland on vacation. my first time in a RHD, 6sp. i must say, as daunting as it sounded beforehand, it took me all of 45 seconds to get the hang of it. very intuitive no matter what side you sit on, i guess. altho, going the correct way around all those damn circles...THAT took a few hours (and some honking) to master!
