991 20" classic wheels

Does anyone know if the new 991 20" classic wheels fit on a 997.1 Targa 4S?

I haven't seen the offsets for the 991 wheels yet, but according to the Porsche Website, the 19in wheels on the 997 C4S are 8.0in Front, 11.0 in Rear widths whereas the 991 has 8.5in front and 11.0 in rear. So the widths are similar but no word on the offsets.

Here you go from the Porsche Tech Specs -> Chassis sections:

997 C4S:
8J x 19 Carrera S II alloy wheels with 235/35 ZR 19 tires front
11J x 19 Carrera S II alloy wheels with 305/30/ ZR 19 tires rear

991 C2S:
8.5 J x 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels with 245/35 ZR 20 tires front
11 J x 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels with 295/30 ZR 20 tires rear

Yeah, what he said. For that you can get the 19" Fuchs retro-style wheel from Porsche's Tequipment line that fit perfectly.

19" Classics - low pressure cast are in the 1,500$ range.

5,500 for OEM wheels is bloody expensive, you're in the 1 piece - 3 piece forged range at that price and there are much better options than OEM!

I thought the front offsets were close. The rears would need some pretty major spacers.

Yup, you'd need a 7mm spacer just to get it to stock narrowbody fit. 19mm for a flush look. I'm all for keeping it OEM but in this case it's probably not worth it.

991 with 20" has sidewall height like the 997 19's. Overall diameter 20" on 991 is larger than overall diameter 19" on 997.

997S with 20" will need a shorter skinny sidewall to fit, thus greatly reducing performance and ride.

Ran across this: Can anyone verify?

To fit the 911-997 and 996 Wide Body Model: The Porsche recommended tire size is 245/30/20 for the Front and 325/25/20 for the Rear for Wide Body Model with 23mm spacer for the Rear. The wheel has an offset of 51.

To fit the 911-997 and 996 Narrow Body Model: The Porsche recommended tire size is 245/30/20 for the Front and 295 or 305/25/20 for the Narrow Body Models with 5mm spacer requires for the Rear.
