Finally pulled the trigger on a 2006 997.1 C2S

I finally have have obtained the dream of owning my first Porsche! I have learned lots of information from all you guys and felt very informed when buying my Porsche.
I have been keeping a lookout for Porsches on all possible classified sites for over a year knowing this year 2012, I would purchase my Porsche near my birthday in June, but this deal was too good to pass up.
Anyways saw an ad on EBAY, reserve not met and I emailed what he would take, with my luck it was a local car as well.
it was 30 minutes away. The car had only 25900 miles on it and owned by 2 owners, 1st owner had it for 6000 miles. 2nd owner was his neighbor and friend and they lived in a multimillion dollar home. Car was babied and taken care of, all records. I was going to do a DME scan just to make sure, but dealer said they cant do it anymore for liability reasons and their new machine cant do it. huh? I smell BS! Anyways another dealer says something about liability as well but can do it if your the owner. I will still do it just for peace of mind.
Anyways I just picked it up with my family! My 3 kids in my car ages 11,7,6 and mommy behind us following. What a joy to ride home with my kids! I just washed the car, had dinner and I'm staying up tonight to wax my new baby! I took some pictures to share. Hopefully I can figure how to attach picture, maybe later I want to wax and bond with my baby! I know the rule... no picture then it didn't happen.
My dream car is here! Porsche... There is no substitute!

We need pics!!

My dealer was having a hard time doing a DME scan that they could print because of the 991 software. They did finally figure it out but it took them awhile.

I don't know why they would tell you it's a liability issue. Other than that is a canned response for "we don't want to".

Nice. Depo Front and Rear LED's are worthwhile IMO. I also did a Gundo hack on my exhaust, which makes it sound a lot better than you would think....
