Depends on 1) how fat your *** is and 2) whether you drive a lot with ( abrasive ) blue jeans or smoother material like kakhi 3) whether you lift yourself in/out of seat or slide and mash !

My supple leather seats look brand new after almost 3 years , incl the door side seat bottom/back bolsters.

MBZ Nappa wears fast but their base leather never wears but feels like naugahyde .

I can feel the difference in my Turbo when my 110 lb wife rides along - so you're missing out on some " seat of the pantless " performance at your weight vs mine !
