WEVO's installed...before / after seismograph
Installed my WEVO engine mounts yesterday and decided to have a little fun with an iPhone seismometer app. The app I used was free and called iSeismometer and utilises the iPhones accelerometer to detect sensitive movement. What's cool about it is that it provides numerical data in the X Y and Z axis in hz. Below are some screen shots of the graph and the associated hz calculation. I know this isn't super scientific, but it was fun to see the results.
I ran two tests with the stock engine mounts and 2 tests after the WEVO's were installed. I noticed just by sitting in the drivers seat much less "rough" inconsistent idle with the WEVO's installed. The engine seemed to be much more firmly planted to the body of the vehicle which is obviously what the engine mounts are designed to do (allow less motion under hard acceleration etc.)
I placed the iphone as flat as I could on the airbox.
Here are the results (first two images with stock, second two with WEVO's):

Just by looking at the numbers you can see that the vibration was evened out in the XY and Z axis. The numbers are more coincident with the wevo's installed.
In the GT3 forum member mikymu did an analog test and showed that there was less deflection of the engine with the wevo's installed, which is essentially what those numbers calculated by the iPhone accelerometer convey.

No increase in noise, but I do notice more vibration at 2k-3k RPM. There is one thing I did not do that member untikpol suggested when installing the mounts and that is to let the jack down from lifting the engine so as to keep the alignment the same. I do not know if this has caused me more vibration, but I plan on checking to see that things are lined up correctly. The engine idles in a much tighter fashion. I have not really paid close attention to the shifts at this point since I have only been non aggressively street driving.
