Hey Mike, It was a great event. Weather was excellent (sunny and low 60s). The usual mix of P-Cars and a good amount of M3's. They added new curbing at various parts of the track, otherwise no changes. No chicanes this time out.

Steamboat was totally right about Turn 5 at T-bolt! I gained 2 seconds by staying to the inside after #4 and making that turn from the apex. I talked it over with an instructor and he said that's how all the Grand Am guys do it on that track. I'm going on vacation 2mrw but when I return I will post a a video my brother shot of me at that turn.

Overall, it was a full crowd but the traffic opened up nicely after a few minutes.

One of the highlights was checking out the Caterham in the pic. Apparently, carbon fiber fenders qualify as turning an open wheel into a closed wheel PCA legal track car . The owner ran it in green and seemed to be having a blast.

I'll be at Metro in April so hope to see you there.

glad I found this thread. I was there myself and have to say–what a great way to spend a weekend. Schattenbaum is a top-notch region and puts on a great weekend. Weather was beautiful, track was grippy, some of my most fun days at NJMP!

the aftermath...

Schatt does run a good event...most PCA region using NJMP do. Reisentoter, Delaware, Jersey Shore, Metro, NNJR...lots to choose from.

I have run there before-probably 14 or so days at Thunderbolt, and 4-5 at Lightning.

I started running there with the Delaware region, and then with Schatt, as they are very active in DE. Great group of guys too in the black/red run groups.
