License Plate Lights

I noticed one of my plate lights was out....just figured it was the bulb. Ordered the LED's from ROTtech and tried to install. The original bulb was still good, not blown and when I put the LED in, it's not working either.

So that means there is something wrong with the connection point I'm assuming...am I right? I didn't get under the car to look into the opening for the light...but it's odd that it's not working with the new LED installed.

Also, there is no error light coming up either.

Any help?
