I was thinking the same thing. During 'Tech Inspections' I would suspect they would frown on that since cabin objects are supposed to be either removed or securely fastened down. I don't think any PCA or POA driving event would approve of it. I could be wrong since track mats aren't secured. In case of a rollover you certainly don't want that 5/6 lb FE in orbit around the cabin. Maybe a PCA or POA tech inspector on this board will pipe in.

My Brey-Krause (w/ SafeCraft FE) bracket is hard mounted to the driver side seat frame. It positively can't move. Customary mounts for hand held FE's are either seat or roll cage brackets.

Porsche Lettering

I LOVE the porsche lettering on the FE. As I am looking at ordering one, were you able to order it that way from Safecraft or did you have that done custom?

Thanks!

Nice! With something that elegant, I'd be looking for any reason to use it. Looks to pretty to just be tied to the floor.

Thing of beauty but I wonder about the lack of contrast.
I mean, that is why they're red in the first place.
Does it pass DE inspection?
If anyone other than yourself had to use it, could they find it?
Just saying.

Whats the shelf life of those FEs? I don't think I need one, but I really want one after looking at the pics?

It does look pretty awesome.
I'm thinking I might go rollcage and six points and this will finish it off.

A bit much in a daily though .....

Rode in a friends who had it installed in front of the passenger seat, legs kept hitting it - very uncomfy. I like the backseat idea.

The only problem is - most organizations that require an extinguisher specify that it can be reached by the driver while belted in. The back seat may not work for many humans.

I've got one in my car, attached to a bracket that uses the front mounting bolts for the seat. However, if the car's on fire, I'm gettin' out! No stopping to grab the extinguisher for me! I'd rather use my auto insurance than my health insurance.
