Interesting Price on loaded 997.2
I posted this over at Rennlist, but the price on this fully loaded (PDK, Nav, Sport Plus, Sport Seats) 997.2 at Carmax caught my eye. $56K for a car in that condition, under warranty, at that mileage seems ... lower than what I've been seeing.

I'm not in the market and won't be anytime soon (knock on wood...), but if you are, I'm guessing this portends a recalibration in 997.2 prices with the 991 release. Carmax is usually a harbinger on these things.
Or maybe it's a total one-off.

When I've looked, and I'm not in the market so I'm just browsing because I like looking at Porsches
, I haven't seen one optioned like this under $70, let alone $60.
sure it has PDK and Sport Chrono, but i don't see anything too outstanding here. no full leather, no power seats, non-S. admittedly, i haven't followed the market too closely since i picked up my car last year, but this one just doesn't do it for me.
ditto...

This car isn't a steal but not a bad deal either....then again different markets, different targets. So cal is generally muchhh higher priced than what I've seen in the rest of the country during my year long search
CPO doesn't transfer unless it's a private party sale.
38 K lease miles in 3 years ? Selling for what it's worth in my book. Dealers didn't want it or it wouldn't be at Carmax. Fire sale price is representative of high mileage ( high for a Porsche ) first model year cars.
miles
I agree, the mileage is what is driving down that price. I have seen 09 C2 for 62-66k at dealers with or without CPO and they are usually below 20k.
Wrong. From the Porsche website:
Can I transfer the warranty?
Should you wish to sell your Porsche, you will also benefit from the Pre-owned Porsche Warranty. The remaining warranty is transferred to the new owner. And this will undoubtedly increase the value of your vehicle.

Once CPO'ed the certification follows the car until it expires regardless.

Mark...you are right, as long as it is sold to a private person. If sold to a dealer (like carmax), I think the cpo warranty ends. I may be wrong but that seems to be what I remember. Program could have changed.
With the theory of only private sale PCNA would have to do some sort of title history search to kick out CPO'ed VIN's from their system that "may" appear to have been sold via a method other than private.
