Thanks again! Sounds like a great setup, I just want to be sure and have the growl and nice deep sounds, yet not sound too loud like a Speed Racer guy from the fast and furious if you get me.

..my decisions I guess will be btw the Fabspeed or FVD bypass in addition to Gundo...

I just slapped some AWE cats on with my Fister exhaust. I would say it's ~30% louder when compared to the stock cats. I had my friend drive the car and it sounds mean! Reminds me of the raw 993 sound. If you don't gas it hard and keep the revs somewhat down it isn't too loud IMO.

Thanks! Now that I've had a few days with it I would say it's closer to 40% louder when compared to the stock cats.

Has anyone measure the sound level after the "Gundo"? Recently I was at Road Atlanta and Atlanta Motorsports Park and they are strict about noise during some hours on Sunday. I understand Laguna Seca also has noise restrictions. I would like to know the dB at 50 feet at 6000 RPM. My stock C2S measured 83dB. AMP limit is 98dB. Any measurements would be appreciated. I really would like to do this but the PSE's ability to turn on and off is a plus if you can't run during "Quiet" hours or sound limited tracks like AMP.

Only reason it peaked my interest was all of the great reviews I read about the Fister. I had the bypass on my old 997 and hated it after a while. I want something quieter but there when I need it. Sounds like the Fister is just that.

Did you mean Gundo hack when you said bypass on your old 997? Gundo hack and Fister are pretty much the same except the diameter of the bypass pipe. Fister uses 1.75" diameter and Gundo usually mean 2" diameter SS pipe. Since the diameter is greater, Gundo gives you a little louder exhause tone. I have 2" pipe on mine and it really isn't that loud when you keep the rpm under 3k.

No, my old 997 had the straight bypass(muffler delete). Fun first couple of months but it got old real quick. Hard to talk on the phone or listen to the radio. Hoping Fister is a little more civilized.

Just spoke to Darin at FDmotorsports and I should receive them by Tuesday. I wish it was Tuesday already.

I just had 2.5" Gundo hack done. It's loud as f***.

I LOVE the sound but to be honest I being paranoid 24/7 just waiting for cops to take my car apart. It's taking a bit of joy out of my daily runs.

For now I'll leave it as is but I'll probably add wireless switch to bypass in future.

Gundo is without a doubt best mod for the buck. Just be sure it's what you're looking for.

I m supprised by this post... My 2 in. Gundo is not loud. Maybe that s the difference between a 2 in. and a 2.5 in. pipe. (or did you delete the center muffler or change Cats or something?)..
