Dectane LED Tail Light

Hey Guys,

I got my Dectane tail lights, but when lights are on, meaning headlights on, I will occasionally get "Check Rear Left bulb". Comes and goes, but it's annoying as hell.

I have the extra modules, do you recommend installing the extra modules on both tail lights or just the left? I don't get any fault codes with the right???

On a plus side, I did my $2 DRL hack and love it!! Now to get this fixed!

Install the modules on both lights to be safe & error message free.

It seems like there are two modules for each light though? One already installed and another in the box (4 total). I'm assuming in my case, I need to install 2 per light? Right now I'm just running with 1 per light.

Although there doesn't appear to be a place to mount the second module as the first one is screwed into the tail light assembly. I wouldn't want it to just dangle.

I was told that one module should be enough but if you get error codes you should install both (4 total).

Double sided 3M should keep them nice and tidy but as long as there is no fitment issues I wouldn't worry about the dangling issue.

I'm afraid you lost me on this post. My Dectane rear lights came w/ a couple of 'external modules' that simply get connected between the light connector and the car's harness. They just 'dangle' so I used some velco and found a good place to secure them. As I recall it's pretty tight w/ the modules in place so you have to be somewhat watchful when you slide the lights in.

I'm confused over your posting regarding the number of modules you have. Maybe some pics might help clear this up.

I just needed to add the extra modules, once they clipped in problem went away. Now I have a dead battery problem thanks to my $2 DRL fix.
