Tooling for quick fix

So I was have a quick maintenance job to do on my 2007 997 C2S as the door hinge screw keeps coming loose. I have ordered a new one but I see that it is a star screw type and in the catalog it says M8x16.

The normal bits I have do not seem to fit the bit perfectly and I was wondering if the screw is a metric measurement and what should the correct fitting be.

I apologize if this is an appallingly simple question but wanted to make sure...

thanks in advance

You need to purchase some "Torx" bits for that job. The bolt is metric and you need a T-45 torx bit to remove and install.

Just a quick note, a 12-pointed triple square bit is needed, not a torx. I found this out the hard way after picking up a t-45 torx and not testing it before leaving the store hehe.
