Help me pick some wheels
I've given myself a headache over the last month trying to decide on some wheels. I was about to buy a set of used champion wheels but have decided to go this route instead.
I'll be sticking with stock sizes 19x8 and 19x11 and close to stock offsets. I could also go to a 19x8.5 in the front, I don't know how much difference it'll make. As well as pick offsets that move the wheels out maybe 5-10mm each corner. Flush is cool "hellaflush" isn't my thing.
I've narrowed it down but can't decide which ones I want or the color to go with.
I think since the car is sliver that either the brushed black or gunmetal for the spokes and a polished lip will look good. But just plain brushed spokes and polished lip would look nice and clean too.

Lightweight concave design looks great and is rather light. The deep lip flat faced wheels are starting to look outdated IMO ! For 997 narrow bodies such as your C2S, we usually run a 19x8.5+45 and 19x11+52. That's a great setup and is not overly aggressive ! I would suggest the brushed black finish. It's a lot more elegant than standard gunmetal. Here's a pic:

The brushed black may be perfect but it's a little hard to tell just looking at pics on the computer. Even the photos from the gallery on their page it's hard to tell.
I also want something that is relatively easy to clean. I don't want to clean exposed bolts or have to try to polish a lip that has the spokes in the way like some of their wheels.
I do like a lip on cars with "hips" like 911's. It can make the rear look wider.
The current style is the deep concave and I wonder if it's a bit of a fad? Like the HB series, those wheels are very good looking and the spokes extend to the edge making the wheel appear larger than it is. It looks cool but I wonder if it looks more show than go?
I have always been an all go no show type person but let's be honest here changing the wheels is really just a cosmetic mod. Even if it drops a few lbs at each corner is that really going to make a difference to my street driven car? Not at all.
One thing that seems to not go out of style are things that are based in motorsports. Some of the 3 piece wheel designs have been around for 20+ years now. BBS LM's come to mind and they still look good.
That's enough rambling for now, this isn't a blog.

These are all 2 piece wheels.
They are forged from T6061.
They should be lighter than stock, style will have some impact on total weight but from what I've read these should drop a few lbs off each corner.

The BCs have hidden hardware, making cleaning quite easy. Their HB and HB-S series have contoured spoke designs which could be difficult to keep clean around the edges. The styles you listed with a small lip + concavity will be quite easy to maintain!

+1 At the end of the day it comes down to your personal preference. Deep lip wheels on wide "hips" cars work great.

Deep Concave wheels are indeed more show than go. The center forging profile is much thicker and as such, produces a heavier wheel. The ST series you listed are regular concave and are lighter than the HB - Deep Concave series. The contoured spoke design also adds weight, but looks superb. Pros and cons to balance!

The spokes on the R8 looks extra shiny compared to the E coupe.
Those wheels look excellent on that E coupe!
Interesting difference in opinion between here and on the Corvette forum I frequent.
They are overwhelmingly in favor of option 1 the SN02 (which was also the choice of my wife and best friend when I asked them)
Also there has been only one vote for the ST08 (the one that I liked)
