I picked up a 997 triangle wheel very cheap via flea-bay and had it recovered by Dallas Steering Wheel. I wanted to keep it simple vs. doing a whole conversion to the newer 997.2 sport wheel (wheel, electronics, airbag, etc). The leather, solid and perforated match the black leather in the car very well. The thread is a very dark grey. The wheel is much fatter than stock, well padded, well done. Feels like the sport wheel in my BMW now. Will have it installed in the next week or so.

 

Nice. I just installed the same wheel, except with a red stripe. It's about a 30 minute job and very easy, but I did need to run out and get a T55 torx. Love it, much better than the original thin rimmed wheel.

I actually found it barely used on eBay one night. it's Dallas custom and the configuration I wanted. Also I got to keep my stock wheel. I also didn't care much for the uber contoured designs such as the Vivd.

A torx bit will work but the proper bit is a triple square bit.
