That looks really good and it's going to compliment the GT3Tek bumper really nicely.

The original ducktail was odd when it first came out. My 993RS had a duck tail and front spillers which I didn't care for and removed (and stored) and put a factory aerokit tail and GT3 front spoiler on. It is certainly old school but remember was first put on very narrow bodied cars compared to a 997 were it looks out of scale.

Op we are patiently waiting...

Mods for appearance and soon the sound of Fabspeed. Good choice.

The variety of aftermarket mods is great, something for everyone, literally.

quick update- i just got back from the body shop and everything is starting to come together. my car is currently getting an extensive interior and exterior detail. all the worn leather is being reconditioned and i'm having some interior plastic pieces painted like the sport chrono wart and the door handles. we're still waiting on the gt3tek rear bumper to arrive from California. if it gets here by tuesday, i expect my car to be done by the end of next week.

Saw your post and ordered a GT3TEK rear as well. Mine got here last Friday and is already prepped for paint. Hopefully it is as good as it looks and sounds.

I just installed my Getty ducktail. Fit is perfect and the look is truly classic. Getty Design's phone number is 951-686-6418 and their address is 2841 Hulen Place, Riverside, CA. Good luck!

quick questions- should i have the bumperettes installed on my gt3tek rear bumper or should i go without? im leaning towards without for a cleaner look but im worried about not having the protection of the bumperettes.

Go without, it looks so much better, the bumperettes doesn't help that much.

Very cool mod list. I hope you get those LED DRLs for the front, really updates the front and will match your rear LED tails nicely. I don't like bumperettes at all, I had mine removed and my OEM bumper was plugged so of course I will say keep em off. Is your new rear bumper made of fiberglass or is it plastic? Maybe if its fiberglass you may be better off keeping them on in the long run. Can't wait to see pics.

Just a tip for GT3TEK bumper, make sure it is prepped well. The air vents are not the cleanest of cuts on that bumper and should be sanded for clean lines prior to paint. I'm getting mine repainted because of this.

the bumper is made out of urethane. it seems to be really high quality and very flexible. it actually came folded in half like a taco shell. from your suggestions, i'll keep the bumperettes off. i guess its easy enough to refit them if i change my mind.

i got the rear LED's but i havent gotten the front yet. this project is a bit over budget now, so i will wait until my 2nd round of mods to buy them!

thanks for the tip, i'll make sure to let my body shop know! do you have any preliminary pics of it on your car?
