Big Changes for My 997
i got my 911 about a year and a half ago and i havent done much to it since i bought it. i swapped out the lobster fork wheels for a set of turbo wheels but thats about it. all that is about to change; my car is now in the shop for some major upgrades. i should have it back in about 2-3 weeks and here's whats being done:
Here's a pic of what my car currently looks like. i know most of you will hate the chrome wheels but i'll probably get them refinished once the chrome starts chipping or i'll replace them completely once i get a nice bonus check!

That's an impressive mod list. I was thinking all the Fabspeed items you have until I figured I'll go with the TPC turbo setup which comes with the exhaust items. I've heard some nice clip of the Fabspeed setup and it sounds really nice. Too bad on the ducktail - like you I wanted one.

i called getty and they said the ducktail is discontinued. i cant justify paying $4.5k for an OEM one. i would rather get a set of work meisters for that much coin.

i got an update from my body shop today. all the fabspeed parts should be arriving tomorrow. the fabspeed tips i had originally purchased dont fit (they are for 997.2tt) so i had to get a new pair. i ended up going with the fabspeed x-50 style tips. they're the ones i originally wanted and i think they'll look great with the gt3tek rear bumper. jeff harley at fabspeed has been great to work with. there was a wait on the x-pipe hfc's but he was able to move me up in the queue to accommodate my timeline.
they just finished prepping the front bumper and its now ready for paint. im going to hold off on the springs for now and will add them sometime during the summer. i hope to have my car back by the end of next week.
