I'm kind of like going the softronic route, where the durametric software is included and it's only $900+ for 20 HP...
Now, what else is there? more gains? or pretty much the same, standard 20-25 HP?
thanks!

softronic + durametric is a great combo. i do not think you`ll get any significant diff from other brand of a tune.
prior to the ecu flash install any 200cell cats to improve air flow or your tune will not give you much power increase. it is only able to give more power if you have unutilized air flow reserves stock program ignores.

I was getting 3.7sec to 60mph and 9.2sec to 100mph, that is very fast for this type of car. Before I sold it I removed everything but the softronic tune and got 4.2sec to 60mph using the same VBOX and road. That is .5sec slower, which is very significant in terms of feel. That was proof enough for me besides how slow and quiet my car seemed as I went to turn it in.
im running ETG and am veryy happy it gr8 pricing and gr8 guys as well. The car definitely has transformed for the better

If your talking about the black 997.2 in your avatar then you need either sport cell cats or a full exhaust with third muffler delete for better flow, sound, and weight savings. Then an IPD plenum which you will really feel and it only costs 900, you can also get a cold air intake but the gains are questionable. All these together with a tune and you will be at 435hp no problem, but just a tune by itself will be nothing in terms of you feeling it.

There's no possible way you'll get more than 385 BHP from a 997S.1 engine with bolt-on mods/tuning. Period.
The only way to to make (only just) over 400BHP from a 997S.1 is to start with an X-51 engine. Even then, as the engine is in a higher state of tune to start with, there's a lot less left on the table so it will be very difficult to achieve.
The M97 engine needs a lot of internal work (heads, valves, cams) to go further than 385/405 for stock/X-51 respectively.

Ian,
Can you explain why people are claiming bigger gains on the 997.2 compared to the 997.1 using the 'same' mods?
Thanks

IF I go by their claims of gains, my 997.1 will be at 408BHP right now..give or take. When it's possible, I am going to get to a dyno an see what that tells me. Of course my published HP is at the crank, but I really want to know if these mods have done something. I personally feel that my car is quicker, especially since the tune. I have felt quicker acceleration after the tune and I feel my car has more power.
