Will fabspeed cats give me a cel?

Was wondering if these cats will give me a check engine light on my 997.1 C2S? If so, what can i do to prevent this?

new 200 cell cats should not be giving CELs but with time it may happen. mine do that now at least, when they were new in 2009 all was fine.
people put O2 sensors on extender tubes to separate them from gas flow but in most cases it does not help imho. if you put ecu flash it will ignore after cat o2 sensors so no CEL will be generated.

chudso is infamous around these parts
I just added fabspeed headers and 200 cell cats, the dealer said I should get a flash too so I don't get a CEL. I decided not to get the flash yet (gonna wait till i get plenum and intake) and haven't gotten any CEL... The dealer said there was a 30% chance I would get the CEL, apparently that's what fabspeed told them?

Thanks guys. I guess it's a good probability that sooner or later i'll get a cel.

Those that changed their cats, you guys find it being a worthwhile mod?

I would absolutely do it.... It makes the car sound MUCH better, a lot more sporty, IMO... My favorite mod so far
