I am not sure if you have a choice to paint it or not with the Aerokit since the lip is primered.

Reviving an old thread on a solution to mitigating damage to a lip. I ordered a front Aero bumper and given my car is lowered on H&R springs I'm wondering on a long term basis how has this held up?

I am still on my first strip. It has held up quite well. However, you still need to attack all low spots at a 45% angle and SLOWLY. My car is a weekend warrior and not a daily driver, so your mileage may vary. Good luck!

Thanks, Doug. Much appreciated. I'm going to order a roll in black.

Easier said than done...some part of roads do it "SLOWLY" could result get reared end. Razor blades do nice trick clean up the shredded plastic. After all it's a consumable item.

I ordered my front Aero bumper from Suncoast Parts and the GT3 bumper vent - it'll all be painted and installed next week. Order the protection strip now.

I mi ordered a 20' at 3/8" roll in matte black and it was $21.74.

The part #: DGA20B-R

I bought a 50 ft roll of the material and probably should have asked if they sold smaller quantities. I definitely have enough for the life of the car. HeHeHe... The good news is the roll was only a little over $46 delivered to FL. You cannot beat that!

The part number of what I bought was: DGA5042-HG. I am not sure what the DGA refers to, but the "50" means 50 ft and the "42" is the color silver. "HG" refers to high gloss. I am sure the folks in the order department can assist with a color code number for your particular color. I did confirm that the material is colored and is not a painted black material. This should not noticably show scrub marks since the color is in the material. The company to order from is Dawn Enterprises in OH. Their phone number is 800-548-4867. They are super nice folks and accept credit cards. I will update via this thread after install. Good luck to those who give it a try! I now feel comfortable buying some H&R springs and lowering my car.
