So here is my problem. I installed an oem Sirius sat radio receiver and antenna into my 06 c2s cab. The car has Bose, but no nav or CDC. I can access the receiver through the PCM via Am/fm button. I get ch 184 the preview channel but no sound at all. When I called Sirius and had them send a signal it is never received.

My questions are do you think I have a problem with the antenna? Does the car need to be coded or something at the dealer to get it to work? Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I get sound ok from radio and CDs, but nothing at all when in sat mode.

If you get audio from the 'Preview Channel' I suspect your installation is 'OK'. If not check it out again.

If the 'Preview Channel' is functioning than I'd have Sirius reactivate your SAT radio. If I recall they claim it could take a few hours for that activation to occur.

 

I think they also say that your radio has to be on, and on the correct channel, when the signal is sent.

 

I don't get any audio while on the preview channel. PCM message says unsubscribe and lists a number to call to activate. I called the number and activated the receiver, paid for the service. Sirius says they sent an activation signal but nothing changes. I had the car on and running parked under the sky. I tried to send a reset signal online and same results.
Currently no sound from sat radio. Im starting to think my antenna might be the problem and thinking of swapping it out.

Still trying to figure this out. My PCM says sat is found (yes). Entered (no). Still no sound from sat at all. Tried a new antenna and no luck. Any ideas? I'm sitting at the dealer right now. They are stumped. They say they have done everything they can. Still no sound. I going to take everything apart again and look at it. Any exp others have is appreciated.

All other audio source work?
Sat module installed before the CD changer and nav drive in fiber loop?

 

All other sounds fine. No CDC changer or nav drive. Bose option though.

 

Update: I got home, turn the car off and went inside my house. Came back out to move the car and now it's working. I guess whatever they did it worked. Thank you to all who replied.
