As we all know, the exhaust note helps to elevate and define the experience of driving a sports car, and subtle difference make all the difference in the world in terms of the enjoyment of driving these vehicles we're so lucky to have. (FYI, I'm on my fourth set of mufflers in my 997.1 C2S)

So... give your best and sleeper picks for stock exhaust notes by engine type.

6 cylinder:
Best: Porsche GT3/GT3RS
Sleeper: e46 M3 (unpopular pick, I'm sure)(excluding other Porsches)

8 cylinder:
Best: Ferrari f430 Scuderia
Sleeper: MB 63 AMG (totally different note, I know) or f355

10 cylinder:
Best: Porsche Carrera GT
Sleeper: Lexus LFA (can't believe I wrote this)

What are your picks/thoughts?

 

What about one cylinder notes?

Like from 'cheap mexican night' or 'beer and cabbage' night?

 

LFA has one of the most amazing sounding V10, 0-9000rpm in 0.6sec. I don't see how you could doubt yourself naming it. I would rate it equally with the CGT as two best sounding production V10s ever.
