The tires are getting mounted on the new rims as of now...I wasnt sure what the rates psi should be for each tire...I went ahead and got 37 in the front and 42 in the rear for the meantime...I will post pics in the next week once the body shop is done with the car..any recommendations on the air pressure...
VERY interested in the 305-25-20's! Seriously interested in purchasing. Tried to PM but my post count and new membership won't allow. Please let me know at sheriffd2@gmail.com Thanks!!! -Dave
I did some calculations, based on 245/35-20 and 305/30-20 tire sizes, assuming you have 8 inch and 11 inch wheel widths.
I think you should run 29.4 psi Front and 35.3 psi Rear for partial load. You can round it up to 30 psi Front and 36 psi Rear.
Compare this to the partial load pressures in the owner's manual for 997S with 19 inch wheels: 33 psi Front, 39 psi Rear. Since your tire volume has increased, your pressure needs to go down to support the same weight. Perhaps some tire experts out there can chime in to confirm?

I still have a bit of tread left on my tires that I want to use, so I haven't done anything yet.
I am also interested in seeing pictures of others' cars with a similar setup; it would help a lot in making a decision.

Think this is a personal preference. 20's are what I run in the summer, and I think they look awesome.

Sorry for the delayed response....I ended up going with the tire arrangement as previously mentioned....I opted to go with Bridgestone's....I can recall the serious...But they were about 1500 for the set.....The were mounted on a set of the Ruger Mesh wheels and are the standard offset you get...I got them from one of the dealers on here....The car is lowered on a set of the Eibach Springs....I'll just go thru the "+" and "-"...
Positives
1) Car looks a lot nicer to me the wheel wells look filled and I no longer have the rubber band look..
2) The car rides a lot more quieter due to the extra beef on the side walls
3) Hopefully these tires will last longer as well...Due to the increase ride height and more tread
4)No rubbing with fenders when the car is being driven
Negatives
1) When I turn the steering all the way to the right or left...The tires do rub with the inner fender well rubber guards...If you can deal with that rubbing sound you should be good...I'll removing the wheels when I get home just to check everything out and will let you guys know than...
2) When jamming along and there is a bump that I didn't anticipate the rear tire rubs inner rubber fender well guard
Thats all I got...I'm on the Rig as of now but when I get back I will put some proper pictures up....Aside from that if I had to do it all over again...I would do it the same way....Thats my personal preference....

hi again, just see this post after reading about your vivid/vorsteiner problems, good luck with that, and glad to hear these tires work, what wheels are they and what is ET and other particulars, this gives me hope about mounting 991 20's with the higher sidewalls, ET's are 51(f) and 70(r), cheers, kevin
