Halogen to xenon conversion for 997.1

Hi guys,
I live in Australia and recently bought my first Porsche. I got an 05 997 and I love it. I was wondering if anyone has converted from halogen to xenon lights. The ones I am interested in are at suncoast and are oem for about $2,500.
Before you blast me for not getting an s or saving for an s in Australia luxury cars are really expensive. I paid $105k for mine with 38km which is more than a new s in the us....and our $ is pretty much on par with the usd. For everyone's interest a new s here is $285,000 for the manual with no options.
Crazy I know but fact is stranger than fiction.
Any thoughts on the lights? Pros/cons, waste of money etc.
Based on the forum I am getting a short shifter fitted tomorrow.
I also bought the aluminum looking porsche petrol cap - waster of time don't bother. It looks far cooler than it actually is.
Thanks and congratulations on a great site.
HM
