OK, so I installed the LEDs from Maxspeed, and....

after about 5 hours I finished.

They look really fantastic and like others have said it is a great bang for the buck upgrade.....I am really glad to have purchased them......it's just that there is no possible way to get it done in 20-30 minutes as stated on their website, unless you are the world gold medalist in Light Bulb Switchery, 997, and even then you would probably break or scratch something in the hurried process. Also the directions on their website, I discovered, are not detailed enough. Now I am a noob to the 997 and I took my time as to not damage my TTS, but even still the job takes some time. Also some of the lamps are tricky to remove like the trunk and engine bay bulbs as they get super hot once you open the compartments to get to them.

There are 16 bulbs to install.........you do the math.

The dome lights were the hardest but I did it..........I tried popping the lens off but that didn't work so I removed the whole dome light cover and the job was easier that way.

If anybody has any issues feel free to PM me. As the saying goes in medicine, watch one, do one, teach one.

Seems like a long time for the job, but you got it done and that's what counts.

I replaced all my bulbs (interior, exterior, boot, trunk) and the HIDs with the 6K Cool White and very happy I did.

Thanks for the feedback, eagleeye. When LED's first came out I wasn't a big fan. However, I like the cleaner look they provide enough now to add this upgrade to my list of future mods.

I have a set of these ordered from Maxspeed.

To possibly save others time who attempt this upgrade, there are very good instructions on how to replace each of these bulbs starting on page 308 of the 997S owners manual. I hope that reduces my frustration installing these.
