Recently I started my car and was trying to put sound system in ipod mode (i got ipod interface installed) while at the same time my nephew was playing with ipod connected to the system. Maybe that was coincidence but radio stopped working and message was displayed: System error: navigation system, amplifier, cd changer not available. Did anybody ever seen something like that? Is there any way of rebooting the system? I tried disconnecting the battery for a minute but it didnt help. Should i leave it for a longer time? Can it cause some other problems? Thanks in advance.

 

Had the same problem, one potential fix is to pull the fuse that feeds the amplifier for a good couple of minutes, reinstall and then try the radio.

 

Unfortunately this didnt help. I found out that pressing 1,4 and 8 at the same time will also reboot the system. I'm worrying that I might have to replace PCM. I'll have to visit dealership and see what they will say. Thanks anyway.

 

The dealer may need to reprogram your system to tell it that you have all these items installed.
