So I had to get my car inspected yesterday... Full emissions test on the dyno, etc. At the end of the inspection line I got a report that showed I passed inspection, but when I got back in the car, the check engine light was on with "Visit workshop soon."

I did a couple of searches and didn't find anything. Anyone ever experience this? Did they **** off the computer with their tool they plug in? Pissed about this and don't want to have to go to the dealer! Car running fine otherwise.

 

Probably triggered something sitting on the dyno. I wouldn't worry about, should go away by itself.

 

Hmm... hope so. But the test was yesterday and I just went out and started it up and it's back on. Comes on after about 5 seconds after startup.

 

Update - dealer says this is fairly common. Something with the dyne or the computer they plug in causes the light to go on. Sounds like a simple reset, but I'll need to go to the dealer. It won't clear itself.
