ok,i bought eibach springs, need a little help sorting the lowering thing
so, i have the 2008 c2s, x-51, sport chrono, and this is a germany car, put the stock front spring on a bench and set the eibach lowering spring next to it an it is maybe 25mm HIGHER and has an extra coil in the spring...install the spring as i figure maybe it is just longer when unloaded, NOT...the car sits about 25mm higher on thenew spring, soi start the car and go back and forth and hit the brakes to make the front end dive a little but the car is still much higher...remove new spring and reinstall old spring, and i am waiting to hear back from the company i bought these from and am hoping they tell me oh, sorry we sent you the wrong part,,,i know i told them about the sport chrono which would maybe mean a different spring than a car w/o sc, which, if memory serves means the car is already 20mm lower, no? quite annoying cause i won't get reimbursed for my time installing and reinstalling, only good thing is i'm getting good at this...
has anyone else run into this? and, btw, car is not lowered as far as i can see, still quite a gap over the wheels
