Difference between stock exhaust and PSE off/closed sound?

Just wondering how the PSE in the off/closed position compares to the stock exhaust in terms of loudness and tone...are they the same?

I believe they are the same based on my experience. The PSE exhaust with the baffles closed sounds the same as stock exhaust.

As far as loudness and tone, I keep my PSE 'on' all the time as the loudness and tone are not obnoxious to my neighbors at low revs. The bark that comes from the PSE above ~5000 RPM is why PSE is nice. I've added BMC air filters as well for even more audio love at high RPMs.

I had the stock exhaust on my old 997 C2S, and I now have the sport exhaust with my 997 C4S. The tone of both is very similar. When turning on "sport" with the PSE, it is a louder in the higher revs (but not too much in the lower revs). What really makes both exhaust sound throaty and cool is upgrading to high flow cats (like the 200 cell AWE ones)... plus you get much better breathing for your engine (+hp).
