20" 991 rims
20" 991 rims
does anyone know if these will fit the 997.1 S? just looking at the front wheel setup it looks like it would be very close to the spring base, cause its very close now with 19's and 235/35, and they say the 20's take a 245/35.... but they look nice from here... thoughts? i copy paste this here cause its the only way i know to ad it... http://www.ebay.de/itm/4X-20-ORIGINA...item231ef602cb
Modern car suspension design starts with the tires. Then using computer modeling and much real world testing the geometry, springs and dampers are optimized. So you want to throw a set of wheels and tires on a suspension that was not designed for them.
They might look good but I would not expect them to perform as good as what the car was designed with.

Plus 1 tire upgrades are commonplace. Although I would suspect a 20" to be be heavier, with more rotational mass, and the tires to be more costly I doubt he will experience any issues with going to a 20".
Unfortunately I don't have offset data for the new 991 wheels, so am unable to help. You might try calling Suncoast or something and get the offsets, then it should be a simple matter to confirm fit.
