Flat spots / hesitating low in rev range - AWE Cats
To regain some of the TQ back in the lower RPM, you will need an ECU flash. As for intake mod, if you ever decide to do one, just throw a BMC filter into the OEM true cold air set up.
First, I would agree with the earlier comment that the AWE folks are service focused and very good. This thread caught my eye because I have the exact same issue. I just though it was a 911 thing but I often bog down with no low end torque which I thought was odd for such a power engine. I have the full AWE system, headers, cats and muffler with no ecu or intake mods.

any 200cell cats may cause this as you run on much lower back pressure and in low rpms it may result with this.
disconnect your battery for 5min to reset ECU, then try to drive again, it may go away for a while but may lso come back after ECU adjusts timing for optimal performance in higher rpm area.
