I went the OEM TT.2 route for mine.

 

Nice looking wheels. Are the lips chrome plated?

 

Yea, they almost look black chrome on the lips?

 

The outer lip is chrome. Might be the shading in the garage to make them look like black-chrome. But cripes, now that you guys say that............that sounds awesome!!!!

 

Well well well......NICE surprise! Congrats on buying a quality wheel......and the style looks awesome! As you know I had two sets of Dpe wheels for my car and absolutely loved them.

Dude, don't mess with those beautiful wheels. Not yet. Do a refresh after you get bored with them.

But black chrome is hot.

 

Oh, good God no. I wasn't even thinking about refinishing them or anything. I just liked the sound of the black chrome. I might have considered that.

 

That's what my Modulare Forged wheels are going to be redone with in about a year.

 

Looks great, can't wait to see them mounted.

 

Really nice looking wheels. I used to have a set of DPE (Vorsteiner) on my M3 and I found them to be a good quality wheel. The only downer is polished aluminum requires a good amount of maintenance, although it's great the lips are chrome as that's what's really tough. Great choice! Looking forward to the mounted pictures.
