Code Scanner

Do you know if there exists a scanner that can read BMW and Porsche codes?

997.1 and e46 specifically?

any obd2 scanner will read the codes on any 1996 and newer cars.

look for a $40 on amazon or your car parts store. the cheap ones are simple to use.

If you're in a pinch just drive to Autozone/Pep boys, the ones around here will read/reset the codes for you.
