We bought our 997.1 as a pre-owned car, and it came with a functional radar detector hard wired into it, but I can't find any information on it with the paperwork that came with the car, on the googleweb, or in any Porsche Techquipment catalogue I've seen, either. The detector has the visual alert built into the rear view mirror and appears to be (from the arrows) a 360 degree type. The controls consist of a dual pot located in the console space under the E-brake handle. The controls have a central **** for on/off and audio adjustment with an outer ring, which I presume is for sensitivity.

Has anyone here seen this type of detector, and can you provide some suggested names of companies who make these?

Sounds like a custome V1 install to me if it has arrows. Looks anything like this?

 

Arrow's in a mirror, 99.9% it's a Valentine V1 detector. Alot of guys on here swear by it.
