Air Conditioning question

Fellow 6speeders,

I have a question regarding my car's air conditioning unit. I noticed today on the way to work that the air would go from a pretty substantial flow, representative to the level the fan was blowing, to almost dead, with no air flow, intermittently. I figure this would be normal if I had the temp set to auto mode, and it would do that to regulate the temp, but it did it when auto was set and when auto was off. Is this a problem? Has anyone experienced it before? Is it a setting that I can adjust in the PCM settings (I have Sport Chrono) I know some cars have a breeze setting. Is this hidden somewhere in the system that I am not aware of? I haven't had a chance to check the manual yet, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.

Thanks in advance for any help.

With "auto" turned off the fan (blower) should blow consistently dependent on the fan speed you have selected. There should be no deviation that I know of.

I do not use auto mode. When my car starts up, the AC fan starts at a lower speed. After a few seconds, it speeds up to my previous setting and stays there. The bars accurately indicate fan speed throughout this process.
