Am I Nuts ???
I currently have a 2009 C4s Blk/Blk and the lease is ending this month! I have been to the dealer several times and have driven the new Carrera S - but still cannot bring myself to pull the trigger.
First, I love my 2009 C4s;
Second the 991 feels more plasticy (if this is even a word);
Third my buyout is a reasonable 56k;
Fourth I think the 2009 - 2011 Carreras look better (don't ask why, as I don't know myself); and
Fifth the deals they were handing out in 2009 are never returning.
Let me hear your thoughts - am I Nuts? and I thank you all for your informative comments.......

Getting a new has something I always loved. However there have been times when nothing tickled my fancy. When this happens I reinvigorate my interest in the current car. Perhaps a mod or two,wheels......something that holds me over until I get giddy about a suitable replacement.
u know what to do.

Stopped by the dealer yesterday and parked the 997.2 by th showroom. They had new boxster and a few 991's in the showroom. I was lookingnat the cars annd my car was practically beside them... Love the 997.2. 991 looked big. I was asking myself is this car worth double what i have..... No its not. Lets admit the 991's are new but i think the 997.2's will stand the test of time better in the longer term. There was also a 993 parked outside for comparison.
If you do buy it out... see if you can get the dealer to CPO it for you at their cost (s/b ~ $2k). It's a win-win... they can process the title work counting it as a CPO sale boosting their #s and you get 2 extra years of warranty.
Good luck

OP - on the other hand, if u r not gonna keep the leased car, u may also wanna sell it on ur own and pay off the balance for a 'profit' since 2009 used 997's are holding their value well.
