Drove the car p-car all morning came home went back out this afternoon and a "System Error" came up on NAV screen.
Amplifier,CD Changer and NAV system not available?
Please help? 06 C2S.

 

I'd look at the fuses first and then possibly the MOST loop (optical) cables. All those devices are connected together in the MOST loop.

If you have a Durametric at your disposal that might yield error codes that will narrow down the fault.

 

+1 on checking fuses. Inspect the 20A ones first.

Had a similar problem driving up from TX to MN. Quick stop at the autoparts store for a replacement fuse fixed it. Had to pull, inspect and put back just about every one until I found the right one due to the lack of the fuse map paperwork.

 

Fuses were all fine,fiber optics were all firmly connected.I unplugged the power from my Dension 500s gateway and reconnected and all is well from the glitch! I got my NAV, stereo, ipod,USB and phone all back! Yea!

 

You didn't say you had a Dension 500. I've had mine in for over 5 years and have never had a problem w/ it or the loop.

Sorry no I guess I didn't state that (my bad), I have the newest Dension 500S that just came on the market about a month ago.
