Commone upgrades and modifications?

I have a K&N air filter and use half mobil 1 5w-40 diesel oil and half 0w-40 European oil.
What other upgrades and modifications or even OEM updates should I do or have done to my 2005 997 S that is a daily driver?
It has 38,000 miles.

Until I read the opening post, I didn't know that mixing oils was an upgrade. I'm kidding.

I have the clear side lights.
Mobil 1 5w-40 diesel oil has higher lubricats in it. So im using half that and half mobil 1 0w-40. Once I run out of mobil 1 0w-40 I will use 100% 5w-40.

I recently bought some LED tail lights and did not work. But I will try others.

SSK....short shift kit and seriously is the single greatest mod for driving enjoyment!I drove a car without it and it felt like it had a sloppy shift!Every time you shift with the SSK....you get the enjoyment!
I had a factory installed one BUT there is also a B&M upgrade that is available(and much cheaper).I suggest you contact eric http://bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html for that.
And I do believe he is still a board sponsor here.....

As an owner of a 1963 356 Coupe, I am very familiar with use of diesel oil (Shell Rotella) due to the higher protective levels of zinc, etc. (ZDDP). This said, most people I know have switched to Brad Penn (the old Kendall) oils which offer the same level of protection.

Metallurgy has advanced significantly, however, since 1963 - not sure why you would opt for anything other than a quality synthetic for your car.

The Gundo Hack essentially mimics the Porsche Sports Exhaust by allowing some of the exhaust gasses to bypass the muffler. There are numerous threads here on the forum. A quick search will get you tons of information.

Mobil 1 5w-40 TBD is a full synthetic oil. Just like the 0w-40.

Search for the comprehensive Excellence article on oil and then switch to a modern Grade 5 synth like Motul Excel or the like. Drinks are for mixing
