Although i understand your frustration, i agree with VM997C4S..

You paid for the crappy bumper already, and if the quality is like a fiberglass bodykit, then why not finished it off with some fiberglass touch-up's here and there..

It IS a fiberglass body kit. Don't get fooled by whatever term DVWP they use. The bumper that Vorsteiner makes is still in essence a fiber glass bumper. Look on M3Post, someone cut open a real Vorsteiner front lip and the core is just fiberglass (wet-laid CF) unlike what they claim it to be (full vacuum dry carbon fiber).

I had some problem with Vorsteiner in the past regarding their E92 CSL trunk (one side of the trunk won't line up with the rear quarter panel) and they never really addressed the issues.

Stay away from these Vorsteiner clowns, they are nothing but wanna-be tuners. Charge you big bucks for subpar quality parts. Be weary when you hear vendors say their parts fit perfectly.

+1 on staying away from vorsteincrap! Vividracing should take full responsibility if they sell parts with fitment issues.

Lightbulb This could be an expensive mistake to learn a new rule...

Do you know the shop well? If not, they could have pulled the wool... Maybe they would normally check pieces but since you didn't ask them, they might figure, "We'll Paint it and install because we will be getting paid no matter what..." I mean this isn't their first misfit part. They have installed many items that didn't fit knowingly or otherwise, and no matter what, they will be getting paid for their work whether it's installing, removing, painting or fitting... Any Good Shop knows to fit first, and if they didn't, their either too stupid, or were "In on it," and either way they should never be used again.

It really is simple. If the company purported that it would not have any fitment issue, and you went off of that statement to arrange service, then of course you would be upset, and would feel that they should compensate.
Can you remember who said it and what day and time?

However, as some have said, and as I feel, in life nothing is perfect, and if you want to be Protected in all areas, one MUST do his/her Due Diligence.

Ultimately, In the end, there is no one you can count on to protect yourself better than you...

Agreed with most.

As stated previously, I'm a long time Vorsteiner customer on my E46 M3. Not all parts were perfect, but in those instances where there were fitment issues they resolved the problem promptly. I dealt directly through them given my relationship, however, I've known others who have dealt with dealers and no issues.

The shop had the responsibility of test fitting it AND it's posted not only on the BOX, but a STICKER ON THE PARTS!

With regard to the material, I've purchased both Dried Vacuum Weaved Plastic (DVWP) and carbon fiber, or a mix of the two. The parts are NOT fiberglass.

Been almost a month. Any updates? I am trying to resolve an issue with Vorsteiner as well and I am growing increasingly frustrated.

Im waiting on an answer too, emailed Vorsteiner AND vivid, still no response!!
Funny, if you want to BUY something they reply right away.
My issue is with the wing, I was told from top bodyshops in Montreal, its not fixable! they lower part of the decklid does not align with the upper part of car's bumper, and to fix it has to be cut and refabricate the lower part of the decklid which will make it fragile and eventually crack from opening/closing. And the 3rd brake light in spoiler is far from fitting as well. Im so pissed at Vorsteiner for making such a cheap part, and have us pay over 3k$ for it!
