I know that Moe really really likes Nano. He would be the best person to ask for details.

as long as you wax your car regularly, the brand isnt important.

My detailer uses c-quartz. He really likes it. After you do it you don't have to wax the car for up to two years, but he just recently started using it so I guess we'll see in time how well it holds up.

Isn't nano polish more like finishing polish to remove very tiny scratches and light paint imperfections?

I've seen nano polish from different brands and I believe its a very fine cut. Not sure if it contains fillers.

hmmmmmmm, i have been led to believe it is some kind of super sealant that needs no wax after, just water and microfiber...but that is just one i think, uneducated babble/guess about what it is,

I've seen the opti-coat done. It is very shiny for a while, but I'm pretty skeptical about the benefit. It was not my car, but my buddy had it done to his. It "Lasted" about a year, but that is tough to really gauge. For the price you can get a bunch of bottles of REALLY nice wax and just keep up with that.

and what was the price?, i have heard here in germany of a shop offering the 'nano treatment' here for €450, which, as you say, would be a bunch of wax...

Polish is not wax or sealant. Those two are more closely related than a polish. Polish is what is used to buff out scratches and swirls.

The price I saw in the mid Atlantic US area for the opti-coat was $400-$600 I believe; but I'm not 100% on that. I recall it not making it past my "worth–it" filter vs lots of good wax. I don't keep a show car so my price tolerance for these things is pretty low. Show car guys would disagree I'm sure.
