Pdk clunky shifts in sport mode

Having driven a new-to-me 2010 C2S for about 2 weeks now, I noticed some kind of issue with the PDK. Whenever I'm in sport mode and upshift at above 5000rpm I can feel a mechanical thump/clunk. It only seems to happen in sport mode and at high rpm. I tried this in normal mode and the shift was quite smooth. Oddly, it doesn't seem to happen in sport plus mode either. Also, downshifts in sport mode seem to have the same clunks. Btw, all this happens in manual mode as that's how I drive the car 99% of the time.
Are they normal for PDK? I thought shifts were supposed to be very smooth with the PDK. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Thanks for any input.

I always drive in sport mode only. My shifts are lightning fast and smooth other than throwing me back in my seat. Not sure what you are experiencing. Have it checked out.

Just went out for a drive and put the car in auto sport mode and the upshifts above 5000rpm were very smooth. so it only happens in manual sport mode. what could be the issue? a software glitch?
