DV Skier is infamous around these parts
I have 60% on the front and 30% on the rest of the windows and love it. The 60% is almost impossible to detect but the interior is much more comfortable on a hot day.

i have 70 sides, 50 back and back sides, no windshield. Car is white, didn't want to go too dark. Side windows are hardly noticeable. But very big difference in temp inside car (black interior). No issues seeing at night.

Those in CA, if I were to drive through with AZ plates on and front windshield tint, can I expect trouble? I just see it being hard to recognize.
I think you should be fine with AZ plates and have an AZ DL for proof of residency..thats shows the cops you're from a state that doesn't have the front tint law..

When it comes to window tint, technologies are quite different from even just 5 years ago. This is why we majority of our high-end clients are choosing Spectra PhotoSync from Prestige Film Technologies:

One of the most commonly asked question is how well does Spectra PhotoSync compare with other window tint products. So we decided to actually put Spectra PhotoSync to test against a 5% metallic limo tint. Now keep in mind, the shades we used for comparison is PhotoSync65, 55, and 45, so much lighter compared to limo tint at 5%. There is also one major difference - the limo tint has metals in it so it can produce some decent heat rejection that would be comparable to a lighter ceramic based tint:

I would say go for it and worst case scenario you have it removed if you don't like it.

FYI, the rest of the car is done at 32%.
Back it in at work, problems solved. (rep points please )

For those not familiar with Spectra PhotoSync, it is a nano window film that will adjust its nano properties to perform better when exposed to direct solar radiation (sunlight). The result is the film's heat rejecting properties begin to change to block up to 98.5% of infrared rays. This video below shows this effect:

Manufacturer: Prestige Film Technologies (prestige-films.com)

I have Llumar Airblue 80% on my front windshield, you don't notice it's there, but it definitely reduces the heat inside and the dash temp.

What's the point of this film? Why not have 98.5% IR blockage all the time?

The manufacturer's coating that allows for this to take place is called SAC (Solar Adaptive Coating). This coating allows for the tint to adjust its heat rejecting properties and at the same time offer to consumers a very interesting feature resulting from SAC - it will darken in more intense sunlight and lighten back up at night. The point is to provide consumers variation in its shading as a result so the film can change its percentage shading by up to 11% VLT (visible light transmission)

Sorry not too sure about AZ. Recommend checking with the manufacturer regarding Spectra Dealers in your region: http://www.prestige-films.com/contact.shtml

Good luck!
