LED lights are polarized so they need to installed correctly. It a fairly low tech approach. You put the light in the socket and try it. If it doesn't work or output is extremely low you simply flip it around. Very simple and straightforward.

...my kit bulbs did not come with sufficient instructions indicating which way to install the bulbs (LED bulbs only work one way when installed).
The problem with LED's is even if they had a polarity indicator, you would still have to determine which contact on your car was positive and which was negative, so the only concrete way is to try them and flip them and see if they work correctly or not as AP 997 stated.
