Does anyone have pictures of the correct control unit or a schematic that I can follow?

Do you guys have any experience with the coding side of the steering wheel activation?

Just connected a durametric pro to the car and was able to open the

Gateway option and bring up the coding option - from which went does to the multifunction steering wheel drop down and clicked active (was originally inactive)

Tried to open the steering column area and could not get the coding box

Then tried the PCM gateway and could not get that to connect to the durametric at all?

Am using durametric 6 but had issues with communicating to the car?

Could you guys provide any help?

BSU is infamous around these parts
I am having trouble with this as well.

I just installed a multifunction steering wheel in my 09 997.2 and today my dealer could not get it activated. They could not find the multifunction "switch" in the system to turn it on.

Does anyone know if there is a particular procedure for turning on the multifunction controls, or does it just not work with some 997.2s?

Were you ever able to get this done? In your 9/18/12 post it seemed like you were convinced by PCNA and others that it couldn't be done but then Suncoast and others responded that it could be done.

Seems that the activation is usually very easy . . . but not 100%. Sounds like there may be a problem with very early build 997.2's.

Has anyone else had problems activating a multifunction steering wheel on a 997.2?

My situation is slightly different but maybe this will help...I have a 997.1 tip and installed a 997.2 PDK wheel with multifunction. I have a PIWIS computer and what worked for me was to do a "Vehicle Handover" function. Basically what that does is restart all the computers in the car and syncs them all together. It worked on my car and a friends car that also installed a new steering wheel. Have the dealer try that and see if it works.

Thanks, we'll try that.
